Ouisie came alive out of love and concern. Several years ago, I had to travel to and from work between the city and our country home. My husband of thirty-six years, Pierre, is an over-protective honey bear who works from home. He is a life coach and stress management consultant.
For his own peace of mind, he requested that I let him know when I arrived at the office. That is when I started to draw Ouisie (the only face my limited artistic skills allow me to draw). I would fax the picture of Ouisie to him with a note telling him I had arrived at destination. Ouisie was also used to express sentiments such as anger, boredom, aggravation, etc.
When I was diagnosed with a stage three clear cell ovarian cancer in January 2008, I stopped working. After several months, I realized my husband and I had grown attached to Ouisie. In an effort to keep humour and laughter in our lives, I brought Ouisie back and I would like to share her with you. For those of you who have gone through a similar experience or know someone that has, I hope she will light up your life as she did ours.
She is environmentally-friendly, eats organic as much as possible and recycles. Ouisie is a chocoholic and a potatoe freak. She loves her pet and her home, gardening, reading, video games, needlework and crafts.
